Early Horsehide Barnstormer Jackets

Here are two great examples of early aviation "barnstormer" jackets. The first is American and the second is German. The styles are very similar--both have mouton collars and plenty of buttons and warm linings to protect from the frigid temperatures of open cockpit flying. The German version is in especially good condition--near mint. These both date from the late teens to early 1920s. The German jacket looks very similar to that of the Red Baron's, as pictured in early photos.

Vintage 1940s Spectator Shoes

Here are some really cool deadstock mint condition 1940s spectator shoes. I found these at the local swap meet for ten bucks. The price tag is still on them--$12.95. Expensive for the time. I sold these on Ebay for about $240. Not bad for a trip to the swap meet.
